Here primarily because of seeing Patrick Walker cover Lioness live last night. Initially taken aback by how much more restrained Jason Molina's vocals are and took me a couple of spins to properly sink into them.
However, things eventually clicked and BOY did they click. Absolutely love this. My rating might come down once I hear more from this magician but for now this is top tier, melancholic beauty.

the julys were around the same few days in an intense binge but i think my order was pretty good. didnt it rain and mec are like paired for me mentally even though they're so different. axxess and ace almost serves as a bridge between SO and MEC even though it came out years prior
but i also need to emphasize like i try in all jason threads pls do not just check mec self titled and stop there because trials and errors and sojourner are both stunning
