I want this album so badly. Thanks to youtube, I've heard every song off this (excpet Third Eye), love all of them. This and LAteralus are at the very top of my wanted music list. When I actuaslly own the album, this will likely be a 5. So many amazing tracks.

Cam DeLeon did the artwork for AEnima. Hes an amazing artist check him out at happypencil.com. As for this record, its their best in my opinion, and in no way should a reviewer that gives a perfect score give the 3 worst tracks. Youre totally contradicting yourself. If its perfect then there is no worst tracks. I know you said that you still thought they were good, but you just dont do that if it is, in fact, a 5 out of 5.

I sometimes wonder how many people have bought this album and haven't been at all affected by it.

Actually Hooker with a penis is about a fan accusing them of selling out....

"And in between sips of coke

he told me that he thought we

were sellin' out, layin' down,

suckin' up to the man.

Well now I've got some advice for you, little buddy.

Before you point your finger you should know that I'm the man,

and if I'm the man, then you're the man, and he's the man as well so you can point that fuckin' finger up your aaaaaaaaaass!

As for Stinkfist... ok its more straight forward than some of the others but having witnessed thousands of Tool fans go ape when they opened with, well thousands of Tool fans can't be wrong.

Third eye has grown on me... what a song....

Die Eir Von Satan.... skip it all the time and I like germans voices doing (neubauten) doing scary music. By the way if you speak german Die Eir Von Satan has is a great recipe and its not for chocolate cake, but brownies... a special kind of brownies.

Why are people dissing Adam Jones, Tool are not about riffs or showy guitars its texture. The focus is not so much on the guitars all time,

though Adam Jones has some great guitar moments

the opening of Prison Sex, Aniema, Pushit

and disagree with H and Pushit been the worst songs.....

If anything Message To Harry Manback and Die Eir Von Satan

interrupt an otherwise amazing album good review otherwise

This cd seriously changed my life

I bought Lateralus, which also had a great impact on me, and assumed that it was their masterpiece...but Aenima definatley takes that position

My 3 fav songs: Pushit, Eulogy, Third Eye

Worst: every song I love...but the fillers are moot....but i guess my 3 least favorite songs (even though I love them) would be stinkfist, hooker, Aenema

This cd is revolutionary

Tool FTW

My friend dislikes this album a lot. It's led me to believe there may be something wrong with him.

I have been listening to AEnima and Lateralus now for yrs, and I don't know if I'll ever find the "complete" understanding of these discs. Tool is an awesome band, who challenge me and get me all fuckered up at the same time. Good review. Third Eye has a "King Crimson" sound to it.This Message Edited On 12.22.07

This is probably my favorite album. It's just amazing. FortySix & 2 was the first song I had ever heard by them and it just completely changed my music taste and my life :P That's probably my favorite song off the album.

I love H. Maynard has such a vulnerability in his voice during parts of that song. He's great at changing the tone of his voice to fit the mood because not all of his vocals are always angsty and loud and I think that gets overlooked sometimes by people who don't really listen to Tool.

Eulogy and Stinkfist are also awesome songs...

I can never get sick of this cd. I have no idea why since I listen to it so often, perhaps it's the lack of melody that works.

Because Lateralus was still such a masterpiece, I believe they would.

Perhaps. But the world would be a worse off place if this didn't exist. Musically, at least.
