Probably, but vocalists have come and gone for decades so i'm guessing there might be more to it. IF it's true...

Finally gave this a listen and fuck does it rule. I'd say it's their best since Empiricism tbh.

Fuck yeah, glad you dig it. Holds up well too, I thought it might grow off me a bit but I still jam it frequently and it's great every time.

Hey Hawks. You seem to be the resident Borknagar expert here. I'm missing Quintessence, Epic, Origin and Universal, and after listening to Winter Thrice for a bit, I'm in the mood for more Borknagar. Which album would you recommend? For your reference: I have no immediate favorite album and enjoy all of them. Empiricism took a while to get into though, since I had some initial problems with Vintersorgs voice. Now I enjoy him just as much as the others (Garm is still my fav).

You are missing The Olden Domain here, with songs like The Winterway, A Tale of Pagan Tongue, Grimland Domain, you are bound to worship this album. It's a masterpiece of its own.

Actually, I have all albums not listed in my post. For clarity, I have: Borknagar (self-titled), The Olden Domain, The Archaic Course, Empiricism, Urd and Winter Thrice. The Olden Domain is excellent, perhaps my favorite (yay Garm).

Honestly my favorite 2 are s/t and Archaic, never been too big on Olden. Not going to deny the fact that it rules, obv.

To be fair I can see why someone would find this boring. I'm just a big fan of the style.

Also there's a new Bethlehem coming out this year, I don't normally like their latest material but I'm pretty curious to see how it sounds.

I liked their latest. Makes me feel curious especially considering that they hired a female vocalist. Hopefully the new album will be like their older stuff.

"Also I'm not sure that there are ever 4 vocalists on one track but there are four throughout the album"

Updating because there's definitely four vocalists on the title track, even though it's a Garm fest for most of it and ICS gets like 2 lines. This is still my favourite thing of the year so far, so good.
