"In that sense, That's the Spirit is successful by design, a product so friendly it's hard to say it's ever particularly poor; in a word, it exists."

Perfect description of what makes this so forgettable... there's no real risk or sense of excitement.

I would've been obsessed with this when I was first getting into rock, but now that I look for more in music than I did when I was 13 there's no reason for me to keep coming back.

I knew Rock Sound would ride this album's dick hard, used to buy it when I was younger.

"It's the best melodeath album ever made so"

"That's the Spirit is unashamed in its desire to ape the aesthetic of Linkin Park circa Meteora or '90s Metallica." You really hit the nail on the head with this one. That's the Spirit unabashedly wears it's influences on it's sleeve. I just wish they had better influences.

I'll take Count Your Blessings over anything else they've ever done.

The review summary asserts that you expected the opposite of complacency from a band that has been lauded by my close friends as a great band. To each their own, but there is nothing that scratches the surface of original/genuine/honest music when it comes to this band.
