Yeah, it's really non sequitur. I see that clearly now. I didn't connect my central thesis very well and presented mostly anecdotal evidence. Lesson learned.

@keyblade ""bad review" is such a general and innocuous criticism, so i can only assume you are getting bent out of shape over the fact that it doesn't go into any detail which is probably just as dumb. i wonder what your reaction would be if someone posted "good review". not a lot of thought put into either critique, but they're just opinions...of a review. it's not like they dissed you personally :/"

I find this remark hypocritical. When a review is said good, it can mean there's nothing wrong about it, it does its job, and if it does its job maybe it's because the guy who wrote it know what he is doing and doesn't need your help thanks. If you write "bad review", if you give a negative feedback, it's normal that the writer would expect an explanation so that he can see if he finds your point relevent or not. It is less relevent to write "bad review" on its own than "good review" and you treating both answers as simple information with no emotional impact is inappropriate and biased by your tough guy persona.

tough guy persona? because of my opinion on taking criticism on a music website? lmao ok

anyway, if you weren't so sensitive you'd probably notice that i wasn't equating the 'emotional impact' of a couple of 2 word phrases posted by an anonymous user on the internet, but pointing out that they are similarly unconstructive

Keyblade, you have a big mouth. You should tone down the 'hard guy' persona and actually engage in conversations instead of being so blatantly rude and condescending to people.

I would neg this, but I've always kinda agreed

In Flames are doing it deliberately, just to make cash. It works.

This thread's been fun though.

Mostly due to the moralfags. This is what Sputnik's like: 30% hostile, aloof elitists, 30% moralfags who get offended by black humor or trolling, the rest relatively chilled ppl

I'll admit this thread gave me a good laugh. Review wasn't awful but it was misguided. And starting a meaningless discussion about something that many people openly recognise seems pointless and a desperate grasp for approval tbh.
