Willie@ I can understand how obsolete would be your least favorite Fear Factory album (or at least amongst your least favorite).

When I bought it my disappointement was abysmal and I still remember why I couldn't stand most songs. What's strange is that I wouldn't say it grew on me, but more that I grew accustomed to it. It's an album that I can listen to only entirely. There's no song that I like particularly, it's just a block of sound of which I like the feeling.

Well I'm not saying there arent' very good songs on Obsolete, just that it's an album that I enjoy more "as a whole."

I'm always surprised at the popularity of a track like resurrection, again it's a good song but its opening riff is so weird I'm surprised so many people find the track awesome. It took me time to appreciate it for that reason. At first, I only liked Shock, Edgecrusher and Timelessness. I came to enjoy all the songs. High-Tech Hate being my least favorite. I'm relistening to Freedom or Fire because of you. This song is so ominous.

Anyone heard Dino on the Metalsucks podacast recently? (comes in at 23:18) http://www.metalsucks.net/2015/07/27/109-dino-cazares-of-fear-factory/

I've criticised him on here before for appearing a bit knobbish but on the podcast he seemed really cool and gave some interesting details about his and Fear Factory's history.

He seems a bit more down to earth than usual in the recent tour documentaries too. Never found him that offensive though.

The wait for a last minute leak is rather depressing... Hope this won't be the case with the new Nile.

I'm personally glad to see that the people the band/label trusts with early copies have actually not broken that trust.

Yea its out now. What do you think causes them to avoid a leak for so long and then lose it a day before release?

The physical stores get the product a day earlier than release date (for obvious reasons). All that it takes is for one guy to steal the album a day early and upload it, and it's done...
