@Bloc: I do like a lot of female vocalists... no denying that. But this is good regardless.

Follow Davey for his excellent reviews, but question the music itself ;)

Hehe. That may just be the line which best sums up my tenure. Trey, you're the front-runner to give my retirement speech.

So gave this a listen and thought it was decent, but not really much to get worked up about. I liked the last LP because it had kind of a darker atmosphere which I thought suited the band and I'm disappointed slightly with the new sound, but all in all a good album and the new vocalist is very good. And like has been said before they're really showing signs of improvement. Give it another couple of years and they'll make a great 12th album.

Then I'll just wait for the 1st round of the Sputnik redundancy package. I'm certain the terms will be luxurious.

LOL Sinternet. The way they pump out the albums, you're probably right. Agree the last album was darker, but they probably needed to lighten things up with a new/female vocalist.

Yeah I sensed this would happen when they announced the new vocalist, and the style does suit her voice which is a plus. I just hope they never do anything like 'The Stomach For It' again because jesus that album was awful.

Hear hear. And I think their debut was even worse.

I try to forget about that one and attribute it to them trying to find a style.

Eh, I thought their 2nd & 4th LPs were passable, if only just. Depends how you view "average", "2.5". I guess they're "meh". But the other 2 were lower than meh.

Exactly how I feel. With their second and fourth the only thing that I can really hate about is the masks gimmick, other than that they were alright. The other two almost hit brokencyde level of awful.
