Both are basically perfect but I agree with you, prefer Rotten Apple

Rotten Apple is always the opener of this album however I try and listen to it in isolation.
Nutshell I can engage with as a standalone, so I tend to say that's why I hold Nutshell a tiny bit higher.

"Nutshell" was the first standout track I discovered from this before even checking out any of the band's releases in full, but "Rotten Apple" is the one I return to more often these days, particularly if I'm just jamming individual songs

Yeah that song is just so different for them and I really wish we’d gotten more shit like that from them.

TBF I'm being a bit facetious, they're both amazing songs

Damn. That’s rough. Rotten apple was my favorite. Then nutshell kinda creeped ahead. But yeah, I might barely pick Apple too.

Honestly, it’s hard to listen to one without the other. Greatest one two opening punch ever.

Ya this thing peaks early for sure, but I really love Don’t Follow too. Everything in between is great at worst.
The older I get the more I think this is the best thing they ever did

it's a shame they went from such a warm sound (best sounding bass ever recorded on this) to the 10 shades of grey that tripod is

This is a bit warmer musically but lyrically its pretty bleak stuff, minus No Excuses which is probably one of the happier songs they've done.
