I was into these guys and A Day to Remember back when Rise or Die Trying and For those who Have Heart came out but since then it feels like both bands just release the same album over and over again. A couple songs into this and it feels the same, not bad but it feels like I've heard it before.

The thing is, they haven't released the same album over & over. Check out the LP before this, which definitely wasn't the same... but got canned by the majority. I guess it's a case of damned if you do, damned if you don't. I think it's more that listeners will move on to different styles of music.

Haha. I wonder what the (or any) band would think of a comment like that. It's sort of a compliment in one way, and not in another.

So musically this is pretty good, if not run of the mill FYS (circa-2009), but the songs really aren't that memorable. Also, Alan and Dan sound almost indistinguishable from each other here, so vocally this is kind of lacking the chemistry their releases usually have. I've only listened to it twice though, so this is just an initial opinion.

I'd agree on the Alan & Dan comment. It doesn't often feel like there is a dual vocal dynamic going on, even when there is. In a sense though, it really stands out when you can distinguish them, so I guess it can be viewed as glass half full.

I think there are enough memorable songs here though, but that's purely a matter of opinion.

Holy shit this band is still around? I haven't listened to them since like freshman year of college.

This album didn't grab me in any way. They made 38 minutes feel like a slog.
