Can someone explain why even premium Spotify users aren't given full access to the album? I'm not super pissed but it seems like we're being taken advantage of with that shit.
Game of metal the album cover reminds me of the evil witch from Power Rangers.

The album art is like...unique, and cheesy, and its attractive in a really dumb way. Especially the actual jewel case art, which has a Rita Repulsa lookalike (most racist i've been all week haha) on it, it looks a bit conventionally better than the slipcover (pictured on the site) that looks like a t-shirt you'd have airbrushed at Panama City.

Also Sumerian hates Spotify for some reason and basically only use it because of peer pressure. It'll probably go up in a couple weeks or so.
In the meantime, you can stream on YouTube but I know thats not as convienient at all. I also just looked on Beats Music and theyre pulling the same crap. Its like - do they not want the royalties? This is only gonna cause people to pirate their stuff.

Fuck spotify http://consequenceofsound.net/2015/04/portishead-made-just-2500-off-34-million-streams/
Want to support the artists? buy the discs, go to a gig, spread the word around.. Spotify is like the legal way to not give money to the artist (or better, an insignificant amount of) and still consume their work.

spotify's great. who cares anyway what sumerian thinks of it

I dislike spotify generally and I try to avoid it

All Sumerian releases are staggered on Spotify for a couple weeks, with the singles up before the rest of the album
And yeah I cant afford to purchase cds or even iTunes releases so yes ill use spotify

Yeah, the cover for [id] is brilliant. I bought that album on a whim on iTunes just because of the cool colors they had (didn't even know about the seperate colors and shit on the physicals till later, super cool).

@Lunatic
Why fuck Spotify? Looks like the problem is with Portisheads label (UMG) more than it is with Spotify.
The legal way to consume and not give money would be to just stream it off youtube, which most labels (incl. Sumerian) do now anyways.

Common Man's Collapse with the vocal stylings of Periphery. I actually find the melodies on this catchier than Spencer's though. ymmv.

honestly if thats your view on their music, youll hardly notice a difference instrumentally save for a track or two. Primary difference is clean vocals and more metalcore-esque harsh vocals, which is where the periphery comparisons are coming as Spencer produced the vocals
