Panopticon is one of those albums that is almost monotonous in a way, so I listen to it as one piece of music, never as individual songs like I can do with this or Radiant. It feels like floating in ocean currents for 50 minutes

Panopticon has the best production while this has the lesser production of all their releases imo. Speaking in terms of clarity punch and volume. This has a rather muddy character compared to their other stuff and isn't that loudly mixed. That could explain the lack of power here.

I actually agree with that 100%. It doesn't sound bad but it's not as clear as it could be. Not in Rivers, I think, is hurt most by it.
