Really don't know my favorite BM record. I've heard so much shit over the course of the last 3 years that I've been listening to the genre that I kinda don't really have a single favorite but rather a handful of albums that stand above the rest. Funny thing is that I do have a solid opinion on my favorite record of all time of any genre.

it was all done live so it sounds pretty raw. It makes it hard to distinguish individual instruments so everything kind of blurs together--but that also makes it kinda cool imo. There are melodies and nuances buried in there that you have to really pay attention for. I don't adore the recording quality but I'm getting used to it.

The whole thing was done live? Thats pretty cool. Kinda makes amends for the how awkward some of the recording is but at the end of the day I really feel like I'm not hearing everything on the record. I can barely hear some cymbals and the vox are a bit in your face (albeit really fucking good), obscuring some of the detail of the album. Plus, I can't really put my finger on why but the sound of the kick pedal on it bothers me a bit.

it sounds like a low paddling thump underneath everything and doesn't carry much power to its sound, maybe? Thankfully there are enough blasts that I only focus on those and pretty much ignore the bass drums.
