I've never really been a Nightwish fan (or Revamp or After Forever). I hesitate to admit it, but I kind of became a Floor fan because I might kind of have an addiction to Youtube metal reaction videos. Haha. And they do the live Nightwish stuff with her all the time, and it's not too terrible in that kind of setting.



--It's weird, but I feel really juxtaposed about it. On the one hand I'm glad she finally get's the recognition she deserves and might be really good for rock music in the Netherlands, but on the other hand I'm like: Shame on you fcking hypocrites, she's been great for years and now that she's shoved down your throat she's suddenly the greatest thing since sliced bread. --

That's mainstream music listeners everywhere. Even music in the styles they like is only consumed once it's handed to them to hear over and over. Like someone else said, I'm just happy for her. She's definitely paid her dues.

Maybe in the beginning. It seems like she had pretty much written them off, and moved on.

I only really like their early stuff. Oceanborn was tight. I'm actually not familiar with the other bands you mentioned, maybe I should check out Floor

I’ll have to hear it again. The one with Nemo on it was the first Nightwish I heard.



After Forever was her first band. It started with the guitar player from Epica. Revamp was her band after After Forever broke up.

I think that one is Once? Same one with Ghost Love Score which is one of my favourite Nightwish songs.

Oceanborn is still excellent, I jammed it on a road trip the other day.. windows wayyy up..

Have you seen the live version of Ghost Love Score from Wacken with Floor? Best performance of that song ever. Also, you can check out After Forever and Revamp. I’m not a big fan, but a lot of people are.

The gritty vocals during the heavy part are cool, and that huge closing just kills it. I can’t even listen to the album version anymore.

@Willie, yeah dude, I've watched a lot of reaction videos to live Ghost Love Score too haha, they are very entertaining. I'm familiar with that video, it's absolutely jaw dropping at certain moments.
