" Never been a fan of bands that tried to do Nirvana after Nirvana. This is no exception. It just happens to sound more like it than anything that has been released in a while."

I like this more than I've ever liked Nirvana but I can see why people would mention the similarities

But really it's just because of the raw guitars doing major chords throughout pretty much the entire album

Just google Courtney Barnett Nirvana, and see how many people make the comparison, since you guys apparently can't hear it yourselves.

Now that much hyped Australian singer-songwriter Courtney Barnett has been put up on a pedestal, she tries not to disappoint on her debut LP proper 'Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit'. Containing more of the 26 year olds witty nonchalance, Barnett continues to effortlessly turn the mundane into something enthralling through her vivid narratives concerning everyday Melbourne. The improved production here sees the music hit harder, but you still get a sense that this unique & imaginative artist is best served in small doses. And unfortunately, she hasn't topped 'Avant Gardener'. Recommended Tracks: Pedestrian at Best, Depreston, Elevator Operator & Dead Fox.
