Great review, Shit band. I think i'll be skipping this album haha, though i might listen to it eventually just to solidify my opinion on this band... The single "I Bet My Life" is atrociously unoriginal bullshit though....

Nothing Left To Say, Monster, and Lost Cause are the best they can offer from their post-label pick up, meanwhile a lot of their older songs are really good or at least fun since they werent exactly trying to be something serious.

Nice review. Haven't given a full listen, but this feels like Coldplay's X&Y or MX in the fact that it seems to just rehash what worked from their last album. I only gave Night Visions a 3/5, and that felt generous. The first half of that album was good, however, especially "Radioactive" and "It's Time." I will give credit where it's due, though: Imagine Dragons can definitely make catchy, if superficial, music.

The first album was consistent as the first half was great and the second was crap

Some solid songs here. If you dislike Imagine Dragons don't bother. I think it's about the same quality as Night Visions.

The 2nd hald of this is so bad. The first half is not as bad as i thought it would be. It's even close to decent

I was expecting a lot better. Night Visions actually had some pretty tight songwriting despite it being overproduced to heck. Sadly they've only compounded the mistakes they've made previously. Shots might be one of the most irritating songs in recent memory.

A guy in my ENG 102 class was like "Hey you like weird indie and stuff, right? Check out what I got" and pulled out a CD copy of this.

He then went on to say how impressive it is that they don't sing about sex or drugs and how none of their lyrics have swear words in them. He even said "See, the first song is called 'Shots', but it's not as in like, alcohol or anything".

Everytime I see the title I can't help but think of LMFAO or Lil Jon.
