But that's just it, Ov. When I heard the title 'Clear Moon / Ocean Roar Condensed', I didn't jump immediately to the idea of it being a joke release. I thought, hey, maybe Phil's taken all the tracks from the respective LPs and layered pieces of each to create something new that, while not necessarily sounding great, builds an interesting retrospective of the whole.

Something like this, where a release is taken and compressed in a way that captures the tone and aesthetic of something larger and greater. Sure, with CM / OR Condensed, it's superposition rather than contraction, but the thought of Phil taking small parts of each track to make a new whole could've been an interesting novelty, because to be honest I didn't think he'd release something so pointlessly literal.
Naturally, throwing the entirety of each track into one sounds like shit. I was just hoping for a little flair and artistry.

it was too long and too many songs felt flat to me. still some good stuff and obviously the flow and stuff was dope, even when the songs arent great he can simply put an album together beautifully
