First recent (within the last 10 years) Napalm album I've listened to. Not bad.

Just got back from seeing them live. It was a pretty intense show to say at the least. Easily the most violent show I've ever been to, I love to mosh but the pit was getting way the fuck out of control. Easily over 10 fights were broken up on Napalm death's set alone and a guy tried to take a swing at the bouncer. Fuckin' insane man, I was spending so much time fighting for my life I barely got to watch the band. But their performance was pretty strong.
The crowd was very passionate, I wouldn't necessarily say friendly, but very emotional. They roared and cheered for every band that played even the openers, I don't think I've ever seen so much hugging in one room. (seriously what is up with metal heads and hugging all the fucking time?)

'Easily over 10 fights were broken up on Napalm death's set'
Because young muthafuckers today don't value the code of moshing

lol at this being rated higher than both Scum and Harmony Corruption.
More proof Sputnikmusic is filled with delusional idiots, proving they know nothing about metal or grindcore
and overrate albums on the first listen.
Pathetic.

yea dude get used to it, ironbound rated higher than taking over, phantom antichrist higher than endless pain, the worlds gone crazi

I can honestly say I find their post 2000 stuff better than their older albums and I've been listening to ND since the mid 90s. But nothing will ever touch Fear Emptiness Despair, essential death/ grind.
But you are right about this site overrating the shit out of stuff.

scum may be hugely influential etc etc but the facts are it's a pretty weak album, haphazardly thrown together, with terrible production (and yes i know this is grind but seriously)
|

No way. Scum is legitimately awesome in spite of some minor flow problems. And I just started listening to this. It's already awesome.

Well I listened to this quite a few times before the review, but whatever. And I don't think Scum is the classic it's made out to be. I guess it's the influence the album had

This has been growing on me a lot lately, really like the use of cleans on this album and how cohesive the whole thing feels.
