For an alternative rock album from a band who's been more disappointing than fulfilling in their past few releases, this is a fun record with some cool songs and some memorable moments.

I don't get people's praise for this. Mostly it's their debut with cheap synthies added. Hardly anything on here that really breaks out of the overblown and overtly dramatic "mediocrity rock" these guys seem to be experts in.

I think the production on this is miles ahead of their past records. There's layering and nuances on tracks that would have simply been missing or poorly placed previously. This album is prob more like a 3.3 for me but I'm a sucker for Tom's vocals and musically this record shows some growth for the band.
