Nice summary. That album's actually good at least.

Disbanding Pendulum in favor of creating Knife Party has to be the most career killing decision I've ever seen a musician make. Pendulum was really great, and while their music might not go to the history as the most original or best electronic band, they had a great sound with neat variety, and most importantly, most of the songs were fun. Knife Party is so generic, and I don't see the appeal of why they would jump off Pendulum (who had just started expanding their sound outside of just DnB) to Knife Party which is just the most generic dubstep imaginable. Surely Pendulum must have the most interesting possibilities?

I know Rob Swire has talked about a possible Pendulum album in 2015, and it would warm my heart, but I gave up on Knife Party after two EPs. From creating some of my favorite electronic music with Pendulum, they are now making some of the most generic music in a genre (brostep/dubstep) that I just can't stand. It's a shame.

There is the part where Oranges said some songs were "not entirely irredeemable", but that would make it more of a 1.2 at most imo

What is the purpose of making a full-length EDM album? People just go and carve the album to pieces by purchasing overpriced individual tracks on Beatport. I really want some EDM fuckboys to come in and defend this.

But wouldn't it make more sense from a marketing stand-point to cut it into three individual EP's, add a couple remixes on each and then release them over the course of two months in order to create more hype?
