No, it's one album

If one were to purchase Z2 they'd have to purchase both Sky Blue and Dark Matters therefore it's one product.

If Sky Blue were reviewed as 4.0 and Dark Matters a 2.0 it wouldn't matter to people planning on getting the album because they're both in the same package anyway.

Almost done with Sky Blue, the album's very enjoyable and cool. Devin's really developing musically.

Though one really has to wonder what is it with him and those lovey-dovey do-gooder lyrics he's had going on for a while now

Sky Blue is Epicloud but even more Epicloud-y. It's like he took something like "Save Our Now" from Epicloud and copied that formula all over the songs. Not that it's a bad album, in some ways, it IS better than Epicloud. Dark Matters on the other hand is just an epic continuation of the first Ziltoid. I prefer the more over-the-top operatic Devin, so Dark Matters is where it's at for me.

technically shouldn't this be like a split, then? How do you otherwise classify a double album from two artists? Mayhaps this should go on a separate Devin Townsend/Project artist page, as is often done for splits.

I just wish I could hear the instruments better. I remember seeing a preview video of Devin playing the riff from Ziltoidian Empire ( I think). I was like yeah cool riff I like that, then on the album I could tell it was that section but it was kind of a blur. I'm all for the wall of sound, Terria had perfect balance, this just sounds like way too much though.

2nd disc is pretty amazing. Some of Devin's weirdest work and it's him at his best.

I can accept the site listing them together, but they are separate for my personal purposes.

Well, best with that particular tone. I prefer CoC over both parts of Z2 by quite a bit.

That's what I was trying to say, they are two separate albums by two separate artists and they should be tagged that way

Probably my least favorite Dev release. I'll give it more listens of course because I really like him usually but as of now, I don't really like either disc all that much.
