Damn, I really have no idea why I disliked this so much. I liked Continent to DITOM quite a bit. This just had no charm for me, maybe it's the horrible plastic production... but that's definitely not the only factor.

I feel like this album is a big brother to "Death is the Only Mortal" in the way that much of the musicianship hasn't changed drastically. It is still chug and power chord heavy, which is the Acacia Strain sound, but with the addition of another guitarist it adds more flavor. The leads are better and more fitting to each song. I loved Continent, The Dead Walk, and Wormwood, but I feel like DL was almost running out of riff and lead ideas. I don't think they will ever go back to the Dead Walk and 3750 sound, but I think what they have going here is headed in the right direction with the sound that we have been hearing for the past three albums.

this album was somewhat of a disappoint for me

all their previous stuff brought something different to the table while this sounds timid besides continent or wormwood

Guilty pleasure record for me. Vincent worships Integrity, wish he made his band sound more like them.

This album rocks. After their last couple albums it's nice to hear something from TAS that I really like. That last song is fucking perfect.
