@Gameofmetal because I don't like when people make presumptions like that based on someone else's opinion, just hear it for yourself and see man. I personally don't think that the first track is the best, and I'm sure you'll find some other songs here to be great (or even better) if you've liked that track. but I guess I'm just overreacting, as usual haha

oh ok, it's cool. just wondering what I might have done to warrant that response.
actually I am feeling like the opener is one of the stronger tracks but the albums seems pretty steady in quality regardless.

Yeah it's sweet
Feeling a hard 4 right now. The vocals are strange but they didn't necessarily bother me per se. I actually felt like it was more experimental and progressive than what the review inferred.

The Vermillion is beautiful, and I just love how it leads into Nepenthe, which is probably my fav track. that heavy riff 2 mins into the song, combined with them pounding drums makes me wanna destroy everything in sight

I really liked Vermillion as well. Didn't expect them clean guitar passages at all.

yea, album turned out to be more varied and creative then I expected. and everything just feels so honest and pure, similar feeling that I got from Sweven this year. just feels so good haha, can't explain it really (I think I'm turning into a fanboy)

The Chills is fuckin sweet as well. Haven't listened to Sweet Blasphemies yet but I'm sure it's rad.

Awesome review, Crysis. You articulated how I feel about this much better than I ever could, so props for that.

finally getting around to checking this out. I dug The Chills, even though it wasn't much more than Left Hand Path worship.
The Stranger is a pretty great song, although I'm not sure how I feel about the production just yet. I like how much the bass comes through the mix, but the guitars aren't quite as buzzsaw-like as they were on the last album, yet not full enough to succeed in the other direction. idk maybe i'll change my mind.
the riffs and leads seem better this time around thus far m/

is it just me or do the guitars on this album have a semi-Judas Priest vibe to them?
