it's rawer than this for sure, but I feel some of the songwriting on Madonna is less impressive than on this and the next two albums. it's still a cracking album for sure.

Flood of Red and Claire de Lune are a bit weak but I love every other song on there. it's definitely better than the two after this, as much as I have a soft spot for Worlds Apart

Worlds Apart is my fav album by this lot so can't really agree with you there ^^. I also feel that, however allovertheplacey, So Divided is it's still one of their most interesting albums to date.
Best off of Madonna is surely A Perfect Teenhood. that song is the snake's cake.
