Yeah, Idiots Rule is great. And I love the fact that Flea plays trumpet on it too... Jane's Addiction and RHCP were always close with each other back then (and probably still are)

I guess you could say what just happened wasn't shocking 😏

Perry and Dave has always been one of the big ego clashes in rock music during the '80s and '90s....you thought maybe they'd have mellowed out a bit with age but no, clearly not.

Always got the feeling Navarro, all said and done, is probably very happy with his career and the level of fame he got, you can't have got much bigger than joining the RHCPs in the mid '90s - Farrell I'm not so sure, think he wanted to be a household name and one of the kings of mainstream rock but tbh he remained a cult concern.

Or maybe it's all just a personality clash.

Been enjoying this and Ritual a lot lately, but I have to admit that reading about Perry Farrell diminishes my enjoyment a tad. I’m usually not terribly bothered by musicians and their drama when listening to music (if anything the stories are objectively fun to read about) but something about Perry’s ego rubs me the wrong way.
