I guess I can hear the similarities but it's flatter and sounds like it's just built around the choruses

It comes close to It Hates You at times but few songs drag it down like Abracadabra and Spout Mouth. I'm going to give it more listens because the comments made me notice that Schuylar's vocals are nowhere as impressive as they were before.

God damn that outro to I Sleep Just Fine. What on earth made them think putting two minutes and five seconds of progressively shittier production was a good idea

A Lot Like Birds had a decent debut, then went off into prog-scene territory.

DGD is bad. bad songwriting (verse chorus v c b c every fuckin song), bad vocals (they have technically proficient singers, but the truth is that crap does not fit with the instrumental backdrop), bad song titles (this should tell you how bad they are), and let's be honest bad guitar parts. The guitars might be noodly and technical but they don't really riff at all. Like, okay, cool, you can hit a lot of notes, but it isn't attention grabbing or anything. it's just a lot of notes.

La Dispute is overdramatic and whiny, and the instrumentation is completely bland. They have some good tracks (King Park) but an overwhelming number of bad tracks.

Dgd does not verse chorus verse ever song. Uhhh disagreed so hard. They're a fun band and if they have plenty of guitar parts that aren't a flury of notes so idk where that is coming from. Also idk how you think Jon mess doesn't fit in dbm2 or Craig doesn't fit dbm man disagreed
