I want to know when he's going to get back to working with the guy from Wheels Within Wheels to make

that "Weakling-esque" collab. And generally what he'll do after this record. I mean, he's pretty

much fleshed out every one of his apparent influences by now, except for crust/hardcore. It'll be

interesting to see if he can find some new way to keep the project interesting.

i honestly dont get why anyone likes this guys drumming. ive always thought he was sloppy and played way above hit skill level.

just listen to those transitions, theyre so awkward.

Idk dude drumming on the s/t is some of the best I've heard on a bm album.

i think its just cause its a lot flashier and more prominent than most other drums in this style

ill check this eventually, never been super into panopticon although im a fan of the s/t and collapse

i just really, really get irked by sloppy drumming, even if its fast. guy obviously has skills but hes def playing above his skill level on parts that could have easily been dialed back and sounded a lot better.

I think it's sloppy in places, too. He does go all-out, though. Someone on RYM commented that he should go total post-rock, which I don't think would be a terrible idea.

Ehhhhh I don't think I would be for that idea.

You never know though I'd still give it a try if he wanted to do that.

post-rock bluegrass with more strings and blasts. m/ On that note, I think a straight post-rock/black

metal album would be cool and interesting from him.

Fuck, I love this. Only took three listens for this to grow. Sort of teetering between a 4 and a 4.5, but leaning slightly more to a 4.5 right now.

Get on those ones next dude, you'll def dig them.

Try Kentucky too once you're done with the others. Most people aren't too keen on it, but I think it slays.

Sweet thanks for the recs dude. Are Collapse and s/t similar-sounding to this album?

Ehhhh yes and no. The bm is similar, but there's no bluegrass influences.
