Well then I guess I've always disliked post grunge without even knowing it. Except Foo Fighters. I can jam them on occassion. I hate bands like bush tho.

Seeing as they definitely aren't grunge themselves, they have to be post-grunge. Foo fighters is often considered the 'greatest' that post grunge has to offer.

Also most "radio rock" or "mainstream rock" is post grunge. The rest are usually just pop rock of sorts.

Well they definitely aren't grunge, but I do not see how that means they "have to be post-grunge". Theres no logic there. [insert any band that is not grunge] is not grunge, so are they post-grunge as well?

I consider them to be. Their early was the best the genre had to offer IMO.

Does that mean, gritty 'white soul' Vedder vox coupled with rawk riffs and cheesy choruses?

You know what "post" means, right? And I'm sorry I assumed you knew completely

basic information regarding a famous band such as foo fighters. Like how they formed and created music

after nirvana, or moreover after the grunge movement in general (this is where the "post" comes in!).

But maybe that was asking for too much.

And since pop rock, soft rock, and metal are all off bets, what else could they be?? Hard rock? maybe,

but as a descriptor, isn't much less specific than post-grunge is.

"rock" died after grunge, or maybe just before that even. (which just so happens to be around the same

time post-rock was becoming a thing, actually.)

Cyg knows.
Grunge intended to kill the machismo of rock but it unintentionally threw the baby out with the bath water.
Grunge died and nothing has been the same since.
Fact!!!
