doppelganger is seriously one of the dullest songs i've ever heard. i've heard this about 4 times all the way through and it makes me bored to tears. even the good moments that exist take way too long to get to and aren't worth it. i'm surprised fans of burst apart love this as much as they do; that album is at least 10 times better than this

I haven't heard this yet, but I think Burst Apart is waaaaaaay overrated. Hospice and Undersea are great, but Burst Apart sounds like a band in the midst of an identity crisis.
If this is anything like Undersea, I'm sure I'll love it. The singles were good.

Basically I like all their stuff the same but Burst Apart stands out. Parentheses is one of my favorites by them.

burst apart is more dynamic than this for sure, but the production and arrangements on here are fantastic, and its incredibly smooth. burst apart just didnt hit me at all

i thought this was kind of bland on first and second listen (doppelganger is still a 7 minute waste) but when you listen more you uncover some of the individuality and melodies that many of the songs possess. i understand the 2.5's, but idk, i really enjoy a good portion of these songs. Hotel is one of the best they've ever written
