Good album, no bad moments, might 3.5 this. It just misses something in my opinion.

I would absolutely recommend you do, so much stuff reveals itself

I thought Blood Is Thicker Than Common Sense was annoying at first but when you get used to the vox and lyrics you realise it's actually a brilliantly crafted song

Yeah the vocals were a bit annoying even, but time shall tell.

That was actually my favourite song for a long time; I love the vocal trade offs in the middle (the softer vocals from Robert are just so unnnnnnfff). Now my favourite is a close tie between Tighening... and Dead Trees, but the solo in the former clenches it.

lol

I think the t/t is my favourite even if the solo on TotS is incredible, it's just the way the t/t builds and

builds with those drums and those guitar solos that edges it

Room With A View is close too though

Of all the songs though, the one that has grown on me most is Crimson Stained Romance. I really wasn't impressed with it at first but now I absolutely love the lyrics and how tranquil it is before it all gets obliterated with the organ exploding in.

Oh yeah that song doesn't strike you that much at first. I always loved the vocal harmony and guitar solos though

It's pretty good...still too much Floyd/PT-isms. A bit drawn out too.

Porcupine Tree, huh? I can't really see it; although it's been a while since I've listened to anything post-In Absentia

The Sky Moves Sideways is my jam

Yeah I don't get much Porcupine Tree in here at all

Guitar playing is the best aspect of this, and amazing

Dead Trees and the last two are my favorites currently, need to hear this more than once though I can understand how much is going on and I definitely couldn't take it all in with just one listen.
