Too bad I didn't get to buy the Grave Miasma debut, the last copy was sold some minutes before I talk to the bassist, bummer :-D

Cruciamentum were really awesome, some real tech-death metal at display, plus all the guys from all bands were really down-to-earth and friendly.

@MO

They will tour the US and Europe eventually, I mean they just got to.

"'Hellenic' is the formal alternative in English for the word 'Greek'"

im aware that Hellenic = Greek, i meant "is it an actual sound?"

Can someone post a link to a song off of this or something? I haven't really been listening to metal for the past two years but I used to really like these guys. I just wanna hear a song before I download but I can't find jack shit.

i meant "is it an actual sound?"

Well, all Greek bands have their influences.

However, there are bands like Nightfall or Thou Art Lord, who are into death/black metal since the early '90s. Although Hellenic death/black outfits are not abundant in numbers, there seems to be "an actual sound".

Hellenic black metal - Rotting Christ, Varathron, Necromantia etc. is an actual sound, though.

There isn't a stream available yet, but you can check the band's Bandcamp page every now then, the album will be streaming at some point in the future.

how does this compare to sweven?

not even remotely similar. sweven was good because it doesnt sound like death metal. this is pure old school death metal but very good old school death metal.

i like sweven better but they are so completely different that the comparison doesnt even really need to be made.

holy fucking shit this rules

not sure it's better than the debut, but it definitely has a chance. also it might edge out Sweven and Caverns of Katabasis for best dm of 2014 so far

nice review dude, i agree about the production

"how does this compare to sweven?"

This and Sweven couldn't be more different from each other. This is some top of the tier, cerebellum stomping, old school death metal
