Epica's album have not so good avgs here..so I don't think that sputnik has many epica fanboys. Most of sputnik's users are into more progressive stuff (me too) so I don't think that this avg is a work of fanboys.

Only Epica I heard other than this is Divine Conspiracy. That's like a 3.5. As far as I've heard this seems to be their best.

Honestly, we shouldn't get mad at this album because it has a higher average than To Be Kind. Swans are a kind of band that has so much acclaim that many listeners can easily suffer extreme hype backlash. Plus, they don't have a very accessible style compared to this one.
While Sputnik might not be full of Epica fanboys, there does seem to be a very large portion of metal fans considering how many albums in the top 200 right now are some form of metal. As far as metal albums go, this is definitely in the top five of albums that I heard.

TQE is so straight to the point. It's full of melodies and with a great production too. I don't get why it's so bad to have a high avg. Sometimes I feel that this 'war' is just becouse Epica is a female fronted band and you know.. female voices are 'more poppy and catsy and this is not true metal and blah blah blah'

I doubt it will sustain its average rating but how can someone be mad at it if its average is higher than swans. After all, this is fun, swans album is about as much fun as papercuts to your bell-end.
