"nothing but corny entertainers"

^^

Not only is there nothing wrong with a little corny entertainment but "corny entertainers" used to be
sooooo much more prevalent than they are today.

thats not being corny in the same sense. Almost everything from the 80s is corny today because it
became outdated with time, hip hop stuff today is corny because they have so little to talk about.

and i'm talking about the proportion of corny entertainers in mainstream rap, Vanilla Ice is just one
extreme example

Yeah. And there were so many more in the early 90s. Everyone just forgot about them. Just like everyone is going to forget about the handful around right now.

Remember this guy? Canadian rasta man, his song held "Nuthin But A G Thang" off of number one.

"Golden Age" my ass.

The GKMC/Piñata comparisons are stupid, pretty different records but for me they're really to par with each other. GKMC has it's unstoppable lyrical emotion, genious concept and Kendrick's fucking great flow, although his voice gets sort of weird sometimes and some beats on GKMC could be really improved. As for this, the beats are some of the best I've heard since... well, Madvillainy. It's certainly more original than GKMC soundwise and Freddie Gibbs is amazing. And Madlib? God, Madlib is the shit. But Piñata doesn't take itself too seriously, so yeah it's absurd to compare these two albums.

I've been listening to this non stop for the past couple days and it's close to being a classic but the last 1/3rd of the record flops a bit.
