Epic album in every way. The production is killer (listen to it on some good gear and it slays!). Nergal vox are beast, Orion bass is laud and crushing! Inferno does his thing. Album is varied and structured and there's not a boring moment on it. Best Behemoth album to date. 5/5

I felt the same way as you (Jac) just one album ahead: The Apostasy, while containing a couple great tracks, was just so standard. Evangalion, though, while boring at first and, its true, monotonous and flat, is actually awesome. The subtle orchestrations and instrumental additions are so successful, and in general the songs have such great coherence. I haven't heard this yet but I guess I'll have to, it sounds like it's just what I was hoping for.

This album felt very much like a natural progression from Evangelion, which introduced a lot more atmospheric elements that were missing in Demigod and Apostasy. However, this album is like Evangelion on roids - Nergal's brush with death transformed the music into something even more potent than before.
