O: :-(

Their last album actually had decent production, but this one sounds pretty bad. Don't know if that was unintentional or they just wanted to sound more trve.

Either way like I said, try bumping up the lower end when you listen to this. It definitely makes it better.

how you can be a black metal fan and complain about the production on this is beyond me.
|

Most of the time I don't care, but it feels like the bad production just doesn't work with this album in particular.

if i have to sit there and alter the band's finished product to make it sound good, thats fuckin amateur hour. sorry

why do people still use this stupid fucking argument
the only 'bad' production is one that doesn't sound good, it isn't decided by being lo-fi or not, that isn't my problem here, much of the black metal from the early 90's despite being crudely recorded sounds good
this does not, and that's the difference

my point is the production is not much better or worse than your average lo-fi black metal album, im not saying "its black metal, why are you complaining about the production?" calm down.

Not really sure the prodcution is meant to be 'trve' as D has been a rather vocal opponent of the childish ideals of most Cookie Cutter BM. Don't really have a problem with the production either, I mean the quality isn't the issue, it's just a tad airy sounding is all.

Could get behind this

really dug torn beyond reason, will have to check this

If you don't mind synthetically bumping up the lower end to balance out the awfully high treble, it can be an enjoyable listen. I don't listen to this without altering it, though. That treble makes it painful to listen to.
