Nice review, never got into these guys a lot myself (or understood the appeal, they didn't seem special).
It's always entertaining to see heated threads.

As much as I'm looking forward to seeing what Tides of Man does with post-rock, I really wish they would have stayed with Tillian.
They could have been one of the best post-hardcore groups in history.

Never saw the appeal in these guys honestly, but I mildly enjoyed Happiness.
|
| |
the summary is my favorite part about this. 'a shit-tier classic' - brilliant
|
| |
Happiness and S/T were decent albums with some good songs. The live stream of this didn't do much for me and I thought the vocals sounded god awful. I have a friend who loves this band though, so I'm sure I will be hearing more of this album. Maybe it will grow, who knows.

"Weird moments of auto-tune"
there's ONE, 20-second instance of autotune on the album.

"The white-trash Circa Survive returns with a shit-tier classic for the ages."
omg YES lmao

you attempted to use big words like "banal and derivative," but they're simply filler for the nothingness that is your review.
No wait, back up a second here. Banal is a big word?

I really like "pedestrian" and "sophmoric" cuz it sounds condescending as fuck
