Well then, hit that bluesy mood and am finally getting around to Green-led Fleetwood Mac; the debut
was great but a little underwhelming, Mr. Wonderful is just forgettable, but this is something
different entirely. Wonderful tunes, all of them.
Also, I had figured that I would be completely unfamiliar with any of their earlier material, but then
I recognized Oh Well within two seconds. Know that intro so well but never actually learned whose song
it was. Pleasantly surprised by that and even more so by the entire album. Indeed it's yet another one
the site has vastly underrated.

what about black magic woman and the green something? they are pretty famous

Great to see you enjoyed this so much, Nag
I can certainly understand why people might not like their debut as much. At first I thought some of the Jeremy Spencer songs brought it down quite a bit but they've grown on me overtime. Spencer was definitely the weak link on that album though (nowhere near as weak as he was on Mr. Wonderful though).
If you haven't already you should check out their 1971 Greatest Hits album (or any best of Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac) in order to hear some of Green's best songs that were only released as singles (Man of the World, The Green Manalishi, Albatross, Black Magic Woman).

Though I'm not sure, I think Santana's and Priest's respective covers are the first versions I heard
of those songs. I did know both were FM originals but hearing those didn't ring any bells, unlike Oh
Well.

Yeah, I've heard a compilation called The Best of Peter Green's Fleetwood Mac (from 2002) which
contains all the songs you mentioned. Actually that was a couple years ago already but apparently I
forgot to rate it, so I this era wasn't completely unknown to me, just hadn't bothered with
the studio albums yet. Gave that collection another spin as well to refresh my memory.

Oh right, I figured you were probably already familiar with those songs, just wanted to check as I know some people tend to ignore best ofs/greatest hits in favour of studio albums (myself included a lot of the time). It's a shame in a way that those 4 songs were never released on a studio album as they are easily some of Green's best work.
