"because of the nature of vinyl and the digital age of music, its hard to defend the idea that vinyl actually does sound better than CD
this however, sounds better of vinyl"
not really. vinyl is the best because digital recordings don't capture the complete sound wave. things change too quickly for the sample rate, which means that certain instruments might go completely unheard or sound like blurred ambiance as a result of improper transitioning. essentially what digital recordings are are snapshots of analog signal at a certain rate, and they just don't compare. it isn't so horrible that we can't listen to them (obviously 99% of our music libraries are digital), but it certainly does make a difference.

what i meant gyro was that since everything is recorded/mastered digitally nowadays listening to a digital recording on vinyl makes no difference, you still just hear the 1s and 0s of digital sample rates, if it's recorded totally analog vinyl will probably sound better (there are reasons why it wouldnt, but that doesnt have to do with the nature of the vinyl itself)
basically listening to digital music on analog tech is still digital
plus, digital music has progressed to a point where high quality uncompressed digital recordings sample at such a rate that any imperfections are functionally indecipherable by the human ear.

yah, for most albums now the process of converting is from cd to vinyl, which will make it sound less good, and you're right in saying the differences are really too minute to be noticed. i was more so responding to that in a: vinyl, when done through the correct processes > digital recordings kinda way. sorry, i was just being pedantic :P

It's pretty much a carbon copy of Summoning, but I don't think that can be a bad thing. I like it more than any Summoning album not named Stronghold though.
