I still think Ozzy is what makes Black Sabbath sound like Black Sabbath.
Iommi seems to just write darker riffs with Ozzy at the lead. The band sounds more sludge/doom.
The one exception is the Devil You Know which unfortunately wasn't labeled a Black Sabbath album

Listening to this now. That riff that comes in about 2:40 into the first track fucking rules.

Some good moments here ...the record is kinda average but it surpassed my expectations ....might 3 tbh

The Devil You Know was good but I think this tops it. Will have to give it a few more listens before I can say for sure though.
