@Sitar

I'm not saying auto-tune is not being used on this album. I'm just saying if it is(at all) than it is

quite subtle.

How are TesseracT live? They seem like the type of band that is better suited for the studio.

Boring as hell live. It didn't help that Elliott was the vocalist when I saw them. Their bassist also has the most retarded head bang I've ever seen in my life.

i was far when i saw them so idk about stage prescence but they sounded pretty spot on. elliott was much better live without all the shitty effects on his voice

Elliott was horrible when I saw them and tried to hit ranges he couldn't and it actually hurt my ears because it echoed a weird piercing noise into the mic and it was annoying as shit. The bassist does like a backward swimming motion and bangs his head while doing it and it looks very stupid. The stage presence is pretty bad because their is hardly any at all. Thank god BTBAM and Animals as Leaders did better.

Does it really matter how they use auto tune? Either way they're terrible

They were p good live. Not the most energetic band around and Dan sounded iffy in spots but still Good.
I saw them with Periphery who were badass.
Has anyone heard the new guy live yet?

A lot of people use autotune nowadays

"unless someone's specifically said "I don't want autotune in this" then it'll have autotune in it"
[2]

Also people saying this sucks, give a reason not just

"UGHSHDG ITS TESSERACT ITS DJENT JUNJUN DJENTY SUCKS BALLZ JSDHWHD"

Please.

"Has anyone heard the new guy live yet?"

Yeah, he's sweet. As for stage presence, TesseracT isn't really a "metal" band. They have the
occasional headbang moment but most of the time its the atmosphere.

I'd rather a band be good live then jump around like fucktards.

Those 1 and 1,5 are pathetic. Bet that those people haven't even heard this LP. The atmosphere here is cool and the vocal work has improved.

How does he even play bass while doing the backstroke?

Paul Waggoner from BTBAM starred in the instrumental version of Nocturne. Sweet.

And: "Also people saying this sucks, give a reason not just blah."

This album fails to impress me in terms of dynamics. Many of the tracks accomplish the same exact thing, and that one sound isn't necessarily one I'm too interested in. I like the overall feel of this album, but the combination of sorta-whiny vocals and atmospherics (that feel a bit forced, to be honest) make me pretty disappointed in the album.
