It sounds like a song Slint would've made

There's an eerie beauty about that version yeah, full show is ridiculously amazing tbh, except for maybe 'angry chair' but even that one still sounds cool.
As for this album, underrated hard. Gives 'Dirt' a run for its money, over time it may actually become my favorite AiC studio album tbh.

Pretty much my feeling as well tbh. It's a very subtle grower that reveals its beauty only after repeated re-listenings.

I really dig every single track on here but I always had a special fondness for God Am. The drums in the beginning sound so organic and then this heavy badass riff comes in, gets me every time.

And I really enjoy Over Now, but it always makes me a bit sad... Such a beautiful and melancholic farewell.

Great pick buddy, every track is excellent for me too but if i had to choose i'd probably go for 'Shame In You', Layne's vocals are bone chilling as usual and that last minute is one of my favorite AiC moments period. I could almost pick every song though, they're all so great :]

Couldn't agree more, album is a masterpiece. Layne's performance on Shame In You is just hauntingly beautiful.

I really worshipped this album. Everyone played Dirt, but this was all mine.
God Am is my fave as well.

Don't know why I haven't 5'd it already if I think about it. I'll sit down tonight and give it a full spin to reevaluate. It might be time for a change :]

This album and 'Mother's Milk' from RHCP were basically all i listened to during my exam season last June. I studied hours for almost 3 weeks and didn't have much time to listen to music. The accumulated stress coupled by my lack of sleep almost led to me having a nervous breakdown, and on midnight before my first exam i couldn't sleep at all because i had 'Nothin Song' buzzing in my head. I really figured i was going insane ahah. Looking back on it now though, and since it all turned out great, it was a pretty cool 3 weeks and both albums became associated to this fun moment in my life :]

Haha, very nice bro! Two kickass albums for sure. Music is the best way of keeping a diary anyway, so many moments and memories are linked so tightly to certain albums. Best way to get back and relive some special moments.

True. That being said, i got that 'Nothin Song' melody ringing in my head again ahah.

Indeed.
For some reason I connect God Am to reading Dragon's Egg, which is a really nice sci-fi novel.
And bong hits.
