what pisses me off is that this is a great album. Shades of Gray, Hopless Days, Nightbird's Song and Into the Abyss are really awsome songs. Narrowpath is probably the only one I can't get into.

Yeah this is too much fun
"Narrowpath is probably the only one I can't get into. "
I really dig the keyboard flute stuff going on in that song.
"I really never got into Enchanted Moon."
It is probably my least favorite song from the album but I like it a lot as well.

The 5 bonus tracks for this album are pretty good. Personally, I'm shocked Dead Man's Dream wasn't pt in the original track listing.

Dead man's Dream is really cool. I'm also kinda dissapointed that it is a bonus track.

Where's the best place to start with these guys? For someone into Agalloch, Opeth, Fell Voices, The
Fall of Every Season, :Of the Wand and the Moon:, Lux Integra etc, on paper they sound really cool,
but I've heard they're more polished and pop-metal than Katatonia...
EDIT: that said, I loved Dead End Kings...

"The sound on this annoyed me a lot like the new Hypocrisy album, I mean the fuzzy-ish guitar tone is fine but whoever mastered this needs to be shot."
Yea, the mastering completely tarnished the album for me. Almost reminds me of Black Metals' shit recordings.

"Yea, the mastering completely tarnished the album for me. Almost reminds me of Black Metals' shit recordings. "
I retract this statement. Ever since I started listening to bands like October Falls, Saor, etc..., this fuzzy recording is really starting to appeal to me. The album is growing on me something fierce.

I like this but it just sounds/feels too similar to Silent Waters, might as well go listen to that.
