yeah all of her music has the tendency to grow on you really hard. I thought the first album was just ok when I first heard it (literally didn't remember a single thing about it though), but I kept coming back to it and over time, it just got under my skin. I can't get the songs out of my head now and I don't want to.
I knew that this one would be more or less the same, so I made sure to give it at least a few spins before I really started forming any opinions on it. And then I definitely started liking it more and more (obviously).
I would say give it another good solid listen, maybe two, and if nothing really sticks out then give it a miss. Her lyrics are god damn brilliant but it takes forever to really get into them. Even now when I listen to this album (and it's gotten at least 20 spins already) I am hearing new lines that make me smirk.
tldr: it's a grower, give it another chance at least, AND PAY ATTENTION TO THE LYRICS. This advice goes for anyone that listened once and gave it a 2-3 rating by the way.
