Word. The 2nd disc in general is probably better. "The Living Infinite II" is probably my favorite track after about 5x through.

Whispers In Light, Leech, Tongue, and Antidote in Passing are probably my four favorites. The only track that I don't really like much is Memories Confined.

Maybe the best of 2013 thus far. Who knew Soilwork could write good material? Not the Chief Executive.

Lol, I remember mentioning blast beats in my review of The Panic Broadcast and everyone panned me for it. But yeah, this album is pretty sweet. It's a 4, and I only gave that much to TCM and APP.

Seriously this is much above my expectations. I love The Living Infinite I, Antidotes in Passing, Parasite Blues and This Momentary Bliss. The last one is so damn catchy. Still can't decide whether it's a 4 or 4.5, but awesome album for sure.

I wanted to write a review for it, but you encapsulated pretty much everything I wanted to tell myself, so no regrets.

Oh, and the "no standout tracks" comment is a pretty accurate one, they didn't go the poppy, radio-friendly way either. I wonder what the charts on Last.fm will look like now. Stabbing the Drama and Distortion Sleep are constantly topping the charts, so in the end, Soilwork's strategy of making shitty pop-metal for teenagers was very accurate as those very songs still make up most of their popularity.

Damn, you know what I meant. BTW this album is also good because it doesn't have those annoying moments like the song Blind Eye Halo on STD. "See old fans? We can still play heavy, there ya go. So now fuck off and listen to the new radio-friendly shit we play now and stop ya whining".

Sure as hell is. Damn, I can't see Scar Symmetry beating it. Soilwork had sunk much lower than them and recovered, but... still :/

NBC was a great album, but there was something about the melodies in several songs that somehow detracted from the listening experience for me. A Predator's Portrait is where it's at.
