can't fix me and many enemies are the 2 best songs IMO.

that's the only thing that holds this back for me a little bit. Each band has 1 great song and one somewhat mediocre song.

lol well I mean I haven't heard of Braid and B&C are just pretty decent to me. Getting a direct rec usually is more useful than a review but a review has more visibility/generality so idk
each is useful in its own way

also definitely preferring the second half of the split
some of B&C's strongest stuff imo

The past & future of emo punk-rock come together for this fascinatig 'Split' EP which features recently reunited Illinois veterans Braid & promising Pennsylvanian youngsters Balance and Composure. Looking to recapture their past glories, Braid's 2 tracks are much more energetic & catchy, with the very Placebo sounding 'Many Enemies' being especially strong. Meanwhile, B&C look to experiment a little with 2 moodier pieces that could suggest a slight change in their future sound. This 13 minutes worth is more competent than ground-breaking, but the split EP ultimately achieves its objectives. Recommended Tracks: Many Enemies & You can't Fix Me.

Just started listening to this for the first time... Not really sure how I feel about the Braid Side. Lux is Okay, I liked Many Enemies a lot better though.
