I agree on them making a more disfigured and messy album as a response to their mainstream success, sure. I don't want another album like this, but this is still really, really good.

MPP was relatively succesful for an indie release

My Girls and Summertime Clothes got a lot of radio/club play, and MPP was the most lauded release of the year (AOTY according to almost every publication and website)

MPP was like psychedelic experimental pop lol, it was by far their most accessible record. It appealed to alot of people..



I think that because after MPP dropped, they had all these new fans, and anco being anco, hate being popular, so they wanted to go back to being weird. centipede hz is almost as strange as here comes the indian in some ways, its them trying to not be popular.

The true fans will still enjoy it, MPP fans will hate it.. so what.

Seriously this is one of those albums that needs to be listened to at high quality, something so busy sounds like total shit at a low bit rate (like through the stream on their website). Vinyl sounds great
