The original was produced by the band if I recall, you can tell...

It was Dr, I thought it was alright but the Remaster blew it away. Every production job with Tue has been spectacular overall.

Definitely one of the best remaster jobs but most albums don't sound so shitty at first tbh

Next best one I can think of is the The Sanity Universal remaster by Seizures

NIN - Pretty Hate Machine.

And the original mix isn't THAT bad, but this really highlights what the original should have been.

It amuses me that there are still people out there defending the original master.

It's akin to seeing someone still advocating for a flat earth society, imo.

I've had Red Soil stuck in my head for the longest time now. That song's a tidal wave crasher!

The vocal spaz near the end, incredible.

When they played Red Soil live, Shinya's bass kick nearly tore my head off.

To be honest, I didn't really pay attention to the production when Uroboros first came out. The remaster blew my mind, I was like whoa what are all these new sounds but then I realized it was supposed to sound that way. There's really no reason to go back to the original at all, I see it as completely inferior.

Glad I first heard the remaster. I am sure the initial mix wouldn't have left the same marvelous initial impression.

Nah I still thought it was their best even after DSS came out.

Fuck all of yall, the original production is far superior. Everything too loud in the remaster, I hear no dynamics in it.

I listened to DSS before this and I still slightly prefer it. All their last three full lengths and The Unraveling are amazing, though.

Jizz mate, the dynamics come out from this. You can't hear any on the original because it's soaked in mud. lol

And totally agreed Evo, minus the Unraveling single being the only misfire for me.

I like that, but I saw once your reasons for disliking it and it makes sense.
