I was googling victory records controversies a while ago, it seems their owners reply to every criticism a band throws at them is "yeah well I heard those guys were into serious drugs" as a means to discredit them

Most of the bands on the label are awful, but they don't really deserve to be mistreat like they are. That's a pathetic way of discrediting them.
The reality is, the crap has to go somewhere. Think of victory records as the sewage system of the music industry.
