This album leaves me with a VERY strange feeling every time I'm hearing it. It's awesomeness is beyond doubting, yet every time I ended up being not satisfied.

Deep Purple's music is more exciting and adventurous for me but Rainbow's is more epic. So it comes down to personal preferences. I also enjoy Deep Purple's best more than this one. In live performances Deep Purple though were easily better.

Dunno, I always regarded Paice and Glover as DP's only weak links.
