I like Slaughter more than anything Pantera's done but it's true what Kyle says (obviously) they sort of squandered their immense potential by producing a subpar (but still decent) sophomore album. I wish they were as driven as Pantera, they would definitely have gone down as one of the greatest metal bands of the 90s. I think the comparisons grew stronger when Exhorder seemed to change their style with their 2nd album to emulate Pantera (who were copying them?). idk I'm thankful for the material we got out of them, but they could've been so much more. Floodgate's LP wasn't too bad though a completely different style.

I'm not sure where you're getting that because I never said that once. So, there's what; exactly? You're one of the oldest members on this site that likes metal? Dude, you're like 5 years old gimmie a fucking break.

Sorry, getting off-topic and yeah I like Slaughter a lot too... and its unfortunate they couldn't follow up to their debut album. I agree entirely with everything you're saying Balls. If they were pumping out albums like that it would have made me think otherwise for sure.

it kinda was like grotesque for a short while but we didnt have so many memelord kids on the site at the time so it's kinda been forgotten
but their album absolutely destroys dude
and probably one of the few metal remasters that i prefer to the original (im still not sure whether it's completely re-recorded or just sped up but it kicks so much fucking ass sdfghjklasdfgfj)

never got into these dudes but walk was a hard jam in early hs

I think 'Walk' is one of the weakest songs they ever did. Never liked it all that much tbh

Ill admit my judgement of Pantera is definitely clouded by nostalgia, they were one of the bands that inspired me to pick up a guitar at age 10. God I wish I wasn't born in 94' I missed out on seeing so many great fucking bands in their prime.
Ill have a look on soulseek for the remaster of aspid, couldn't of done that 20 years ago so there's one bonus

you gotta jam it through the lens of a fourteen year old nerd
