Nah, it's not bad. Just less focussed and no where near as powerful as a whole album than the rest. However, it arguably has TPT's best song, which is more than what can be said for this

That is true that most of this isn't up there with their best. The closest I'd say a track comes to top 10 TPT is Burning Pieces or Last Man Standing, those tracks are fantastic. The t/t too is great

I concede that Someone Here Is Missing was a huge step for the band in terms of identity, but songwriting-wise, I always thought this album was a much more mature evolution. Alright, it isn't built on the - not all that innovative - electronic elements of SHIM, but melodically, sonically and rythmically, it feels a lot more well-rounded and fleshed-out to me.
